Get Organize
I started a lesson on how to get organize from the book "Time Management from The Inside Out." The SPACE technique seems to offer a logical way to manage time. I'm applying the steps using Google Calendar as my daily planner. It looks like an excellent choice, since portability and mobility are the primary factors for me to consider this tool. I will try out this technique for several months to see how it will work out.

Getting Up Early
I actually enjoy getting up early. I know it's not easy for some people like I once was. I like the quietness of the morning cold. No one is competing with your time. You can do anything without having someone else bothering you. Taking a walk is one of my favorites. Sometimes I would read a book, or go online to read the news.

Random Thoughts
It's 5:38AM. I woke up at 5:00AM. My usual morning routine activities took about half an hour to accomplish. The train was arriving the station from afar. I could hear it while I was doing my stretching excerse. I promptly put on a pot of coffee before diverting my attention to the rest of the routine. Now I have a fresh cup of coffee while I'm typing this. I went to grab a quick breakfast for the road. That's it for now.

Time is a commodity
Squeezing a many activities in a day and do them all is an art. It requires creativity and consistent self discipline. That is what I'm doing with my life. I remember reading about it somewhere in which the author referring to someone trying to fit 200 years worth of experiences into a 100 years time. Now, that's a thought! The idea is to get a lot of experience from life as much as you can. Everyone's precious commonity is time, and we're only allotted 24hrs day period. Let's make some good use out of it.

Homework, School, Kids
I am running like a chicken with my head cut off this morning. I got up really early to do my homework, which is already passed due. Then I had to wake the kids up to get ready for their school. Now they're eating breakfast while I'm in my library typing away my commitment for the day. My cereal bowl is still waiting for me on the table. As soon as I get off of the computer, I'll try to slow down a little bit. It's almost time for their school. I gotta go. Until next time ...

New Piano
I went into the piano store to buy a piano for my daughter yesterday. The store owner promptly approached us as we were testing out the keys on a piano. He seemed sincere and knowledgeable on his products. We finally agreed to buy one from his store. We even signed up for our daughter's piano lesson right inside his store.

Train, Weather, Grass
The sound in the air woke me up. I glanced at the clock but my eyes could not see clearly without my glasses. I figured it must be around 6 am. What was that sound? I peeled the window blind in the bathroom to take a peek outside. It was still dark. It was the sound of a commuter train stopping at the train station. My house is not very far away from the station. It is about 2 blocks away. I went downstairs to prepare a pot of coffee. Put on my running shoes and went outside through the garage door. It was cold this morning. The cold fresh scent in the air filled my lungs. I took a deep breath and started walking toward the train station. Then I ran for 15 minutes around the neighborhood block. The grass may need some water today. I turned on the water hose and sprayed on the plants along the front of the house. One of the plants has the leaves turning brown. It needs water. I should keep a close watch on it every morning.

The day before leaving Kwaj
I've started this blog awhile now and been procrastinating on keeping up with the writings. I'll try again. Tomorrow (Friday 5/16/08) my family and I say goodbye to this island lifestyle. I has been an amazing 4 1/2 years living on Kwaj. We'll be flying to Virginia to settle our lives there. I will miss all the good memories here ...
